Velaine

Velaine lives in Cap Rouge. Her father’s name is Velius and her mother’s name is Getha. They have 4 children. Velaine attends school and she is in NS1. She has 3 grades left until she graduates high school. She works very well at school. In her free time, she enjoys studying, doing her homework, and doing the housework. She lives with her father. Velaine lives in a house made of sheet metal roof, boards, and wood. The sheet metal roof is not too good, and when it rains they have difficulty staying under it. In the house they have furniture such as: 1 table, 1 bed, and some chairs. Velaine lives in a bad condition because her father is separated from her mother, so it is her father who is struggling to care for the children. Velaine is always healthy. The situation is usually difficult because her father is not working; he only works the land. It is difficult for them to get water; they walk a lot before they get water. They use wood to cook. They are starting to run out of wood because people in her area cut many trees. Most of the parents are struggling with the costly life. They don’t know what to do in those very hard times.
