And the King will say, 'I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!' (NLT)
The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.' (NIV)

Wow, where has the summer gone? It is difficult to believe that in the next two weeks schools will be back, Churches will be starting their Fall Programs, and of course the Mission will be busier than ever. For me personally it has been an incredibly busy summer with so many challenges and blessings. God is good!
Last week while on vacation, I received a report on one of our sponsored children in Kenya. It reminded me of the value of ‘sponsorship’ and the tremendous change it makes in a child’s life and of the hope it gives them. Let me share it with you to encourage you.
‘We are glad to report that one of our sponsored children, Varine Njeri participated in reciting a poem (‘shairi’in Kiswahili) competition in Nairobi, Kenya. She started at the district level, then zonal level, county level and then finally to the Nationals.
She really did her best while performing the poem (‘shairi’) of which we are indeed proud of her.
Varine managed to be number one in reciting the poem and because of that, she was awarded 2 certificates plus the trophy. She was awarded: certificate of participation, certificate of position one plus the trophy for being the best in entire Nairobi schools system.
Varine was selected to recite the poem to the president of Kenya, and to all the government officials in State house God willing by end of August. She is hopeful and eagerly waiting for that day! As she says that she will be very happy to put a legacy and a mark in our country with her performance.
We thank God for her and we continue praying that God may make her shine among many children.’
Where would Varine be if she had not been sponsored? Thanks to a very special sponsor in Calgary Alberta! By the way, why not visit our WEB site or call the Mission and become a sponsor and help change children’s lives for the better?
Certification with CCCC is a powerful endorsement of a charity’s integrity. It demonstrates that the charity has been carefully assessed by CCCC’s rigorous certification process and found to be in compliance with CCCC’s Standards. Donors can give confidently and generously when they see CCCC’s Seal of Accountability on a charity’s website.
