Marie Cherlanda is a girl who lives in Cap Rouge section of Cayes Jacmel, the southeast of Haiti. She was born on February 15, 2013, she is 12. Her father, Aubece Bonheur, and her mother, Elina Jules, work on the land. They have three children. Marie Cherlanda is in 6th grade. In her free time, she plays with her friends and siblings. She lives with her parents in a two-room house made of stone, covered with a sheet metal roof. The house is furnished with chairs, tables, beds, and kitchenware. Due to her parents' limited means, the children live in poor conditions, facing malnutrition, and their parents can't meet their needs. The family relies on agriculture, and poor harvests make their situation even more challenging. They fetch water from a cistern and use wood for cooking. Marie Cherlanda needs help to support her education and improve her living conditions, as she and her family face many difficulties.
