Chantania is a girl who lives in Cap Rouge communal section of Cayes Jacmel, the southeast of Haiti. She was born on February 11, 2015, she is 10. Her father passed away, and her mother is named Marie Veniese Janvier, who is a farmer. Her mother has four children. Chantania goes to school, she is in 4th grade, and she’s very bright in her studies. In her free time, she loves to play hide-and-seek and jump rope. She lives with her mother and her other siblings. They live in a house with two rooms, made of wood and stone, and covered with sheet metal roof. They have a table, chairs, beds, and dishes in their home. Due to the situation in the country, children can't live well with only their mother taking care of them, because the country is difficult, so they live poorly. But she is always healthy. Her mother struggles a lot to live after her husband's departure, and now she has to play both roles, struggling to feed the children. They fetch water from a cistern and use wood to cook. Chantania would like to get help to get out of the difficult situation her family is going through, and she would also like help with her studies. She wishes things would get better.
