Aga is a healthy eight-year-old boy who lives in Cap – Rouge with his parents. Cap – Rouge is a countryside. This is a great place for agriculture. There are a bunch of trees and gardens. The weather is a little cold over there. The people who live in this place breathe fresh air. They often eat fresh vegetable and alternative healthy food from their gardens. They cultivate the land with many plants, for instance: vegetables, fruits, corn, plantain, yam, beans, pineapple, grapefruit etc. Aga is in the second year at a primary school, but he struggles with learning. He has three siblings, and in his free time he likes to play games with them. They live in a house made with wood and a sheet roof. Inside their house there are chairs, a table, cupboards, beds etc. They usually walk to find drinking water in a source not far from their house. They use wood to cook their food. The economic situation of Aga’s family is horrible. Life is very difficult in Haiti. There is a high cost of living, which is especially difficult for those who rely on their harvest to take care of their children. Aga’s parents have four children to feed every day, but they have only agriculture as their economic source. His parents don’t have enough means to assist him with his education. They would like to find a sponsor to be able to help support him with all his basic needs.
